The city that does not drive.

Everytime I drove into San Francisco, I frown -- the traffic is terrible. One-ways, 45 degree steeet corners, 45 degree uphills, scarce street parkings, expensive parking fees, and be careful: don't leave anything visible in your car. Someone may break your window to get everything in your car, even just for a quarter!

But today, I finally understood San Francisco. It's a city that does not drive! Once I realize this, it becomes so lovely.

Take a walk along the hilly streets, my feet fit the uphill so well. The picture in my eyes is changeing as I climb higher and higher. Stop and take a photo shot wherever I want. And talk to strangers here and there -- we all people that do not drive:)

Get tired? jump onto a cable car. See how the cable car driver controls the car, listen to the bells -- different conductors ring the bell in different ways! If you are not afraid, stand outside and say hi to the cable car passengers coming in the opposite direction.

I haven't tried riding bicycle in SF yet. But I guess it must be very cool. We can ride along the sea shore, we can ride across the Golden Gate Bridge, or to the top of the Marin Headlands and enjoy the bridge in sunset...

Give up the car -- SF is wonderful.
